Aurelia Fiedimid Regalis was born many years ago as the older twin of her brother Zacharias. She and her brother were raised as the 5th generation to the throne due to the nature of their element, Aether Manipulation, as well as the young development of their different colored antlers on their heads. Aurelia’s were white, while her brother’s black. Contrast to her brother’s fiery temper, Aurelia was very kind hearted, almost motherly. Fortunately, the Regalis twins enjoyed their educational studies; while Zacharias would be out training at the palace’s barracks, Aurelia would be sitting on the sidelines often with a book in her possession as she waited for her brother to finish. Aurelia still received training, primarily in controlling her element, utilizing a staff as her medium. Unlike Zacharias, Aurelia had a much harder time in controlling Aether Manipulation due to her weak mentality. She was often jealous that Zacharias was mentally strong, but respected him wholeheartedly. 

As the Regalis twins continued to grow up, Aurelia became more involved in the politics of Lumina. While Zacharias was able to venture outside of the city’s borders, Aurelia was an apprentice to the current monarch. From there she was able to keep up with current events and understand the relationships between Lumina and several groups that neighbored the city. It didn’t take long for her to realize her brother’s silent resentment against her. It hurt her, but it hurt her more knowing as to why he held these feelings. Aurelia did not want to become monarch, but because she was the eldest of the two, she was destined to. She accepted this path early on and had decided to do the best that she could. It was the least she could do for her brother, who went on to become a commander of his own royal army. 

Many years have passed until the day would come that Aurelia would be crowned as the next monarch of Lumina. She did not feel like she was yet not ready for the crown, but the elders had urged her. Aurelia, having donned white garments, appeared before the citizens of Lumina and the current monarch, the crown gleaming on her head. She took note of the current monarch’s antlers, of which were cracked and well worn, a sign of the end of her reign. As the current monarch removed the crown from her head and placed it upon Aurelia’s, the former monarch’s antlers grew dark and slowly disappeared into thin air, an indication that the power has been passed onto the next generation. 

The city of Lumina had experienced years of peace; Aurelia spent most of her time on what kinds of decisions to make. She felt like most of her choices were the best choices, and sometimes they were not. At times, she had seen Zacharias filled with disappointment, and often wondered why he was not crowned as the ruler instead. He clearly had more capabilities than she, and would’ve gladly liked to work hand in hand with him, if not have him take the crown instead. 

Zacharias’ decision to leave the city was a shock to many, but especially to his twin, Aurelia. Aurelia wanted to stop him, but she had respected his choices while growing up. She trusted that he would be able to take care of himself, as long as he did not break off communication. With a last embrace, Aurelia stood by as she watched Zacharias and his followers leave the safety of Lumina and into the unknown. 

Despite Zacharias’ absence, Aurelia continued her role as the monarch of Lumina, keeping her people safe.
