“Syndrome,” labeled as Subject 13 from Sector 28 - Lab 15 under the supervision of Lieutenant Kenichi and Lead Research Director L. Johnson. The subject was discovered outside the walls of Gravidal in a large meteorite. Tri-Colony Alliance has agreed to let the Gravidal squadron to receive most of the subject for further examination.

Subject 13, through research, has been recognized as an intelligent life form. The alien has been found within the confines of the meteorite in a black, mutated body. It does not appear to retain a solid shape. However, there have been reports of a gaping mouth and red eyes appearing while conducting experiments on the subject. Origin is unknown, but has been assumed that it has come from another universe. Researchers have theorized that it traveled to our solar system through a skip drive ability that allows it to travel at the speed of light.

The subject’s original body has been contained in Lab 15. Annex researchers have extracted blood from the body, but the liquid appeared to have a mind of its own. It broke out of the glass syringe, attacking the first person it came in contact with. It has been realized that “Syndrome” is the hunter, and the humans are the hunted. 

It has been realized that Syndrome must house a body in order to travel and gain ground, slowly consuming the host’s consciousness, resulting in the body being used in the hands of the alien. 

Through years of close observation, kept out of the public’s awareness, the government and Annex's Gravidal Military Faction have realized that Syndrome has spread its control among a number of humans, mainly those residing in District 3. It has been assumed that Syndrome has marked its territory in the mentioned District. 

Those infected have been called “Parasite,” who apparently have the ability to transform from its human form to its mutated alien form. Parasites, in their human form, can be recognized as infected by the change in shape of the pupil. Fortunately, the common Parasite cannot infect the city’s civilians.


However, it seems that Syndrome has a select number of Parasites who are able to infect potential hosts. Infection commonly occurs through open blood wounds, where the “virus” is able to enter and infect the host, causing symptoms such as fever, vomiting, and headaches, before mutation has been completed. 

When the host has mutated from its human form to its alien form, there have been cases where the transformation has caused aggression within the host, almost as if it were a completely different conscious that has taken control. 

Although Syndrome’s true intentions are unknown, it seems that it desires to eliminate the human race and collect the planet’s resources. Others assume that it desires its original body back.
